OBC’s summer leadership training courses are about to begin!  Classes will be held on Sunday evenings, from 6:00-7:30 PM, and run from June 3rd to August 26th.

In Acts 20:28, Paul instructed the Ephesian elders to “Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood.”  Biblical Eldership is a class specific to men who desire to learn how to shepherd themselves, to shepherd their families which God has entrusted to them, and also for those who aspire to shepherd the Body of Christ.  Biblical Eldership will be taught by Pastor Ben (Student Ministries), and elder Rod Fillinger (Adult Christian Education).  We invite all of OBC’s men to attend!

Applied Theology will be taught by Pastor Kyle (Spiritual Care), and elder Jared Bridges (Children’s Ministry).  This college level theology course is extremely practical, and emphasizes the application of Biblical doctrine to our daily life.  The text used is “Introducing Christian Doctrine” by Millard Erickson.  Individuals and couples are welcome to attend – come be a student of God’s Word with us!
