The Women's Ministry exists to equip women of all ages for the purposes of spiritual maturity in Christ and the work of service, for the benefit of the body and the glory of God. Various tools are used to this end including: Bible studies, prayer opportunities, yearly special events and one on one discipleship.
We aim to serve the body in many areas including providing meals, hosting and greeting at women's events, special conferences and retreats.
An important goal of the Women's Ministry is to encourage relationships that foster a deeper commitment in our walk with Jesus Christ. This vital ministry affords women many wonderful opportunities to serve alongside other women in the body while reaping the benefits of warm, caring, godly relationships.
Annual Summer Conference "True Beauty"
In today's culture, body image, beauty, and doing good works can be life-dominating issues and a source of much unhappiness and self-loathing. During our Annual Summer Conference, we tackled these topics and more to see how God views beauty. Together we shared how God views our bodies and our works.
If you were unable to attend, please check back soon to download conference materials.

"Fervent Prayer Warriors"
The "Fervent Prayer Warriors" group is a small gathering of women who endeavor to serve the church by doing just that: PRAY! James 5:16 says that "The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." The focus of the prayer time is to lift up the spiritual growth and needs of the church families, deacons, elders and the body at OBC, to the Lord.
Tuesdays at 10:00 AM - We meet at OBC in the Worship Center.
Mamas & Munchkins
Are you interested in meeting other like-minded moms of young children at OBC? Our goal is to provide moms of little ones the opportunity to interact with each other as we engage in activities with our children. We also organize occasional Mom's Night Out events to help us get to know one another so that we might offer each other support, encouragement and friendship!
How Does It Work?
The meals ministry coordinator is made aware of a need, either through a direct request for help, or through referral by someone within the church. Volunteers are then contacted and asked to provide a meal (home cooked or purchased) and deliver it to the recipient's home.
Who Do We Serve?
OBC families and individuals in times of need including but not limited to:
- after the birth of a baby
- after surgery or hospitalization
- during times of crisis
